How many people could replace you by Monday? That’s the only question that matters for knowing your worth. If hundreds of people could step into your role, you have your answer. But if no one has your specific combination of skills — good or even dangerous — you have a different answer entirely.
My suggestion, in the words of Beyoncé: be irreplaceable. When you’re the only one, one of one, everything you want in life starts coming to you and through you.
