I write about global health. Write often about what makes it worthwhile. The people of course, the learning we do, the adaptations along the way and of course why we still nurture what matters for the field. Every where I go I tell people that I am a global health researcher passionate about sustaining evidence based interventions implemented in resource limited settings. I have seen and experienced health in many settings, but the ones close to home, hold prominence to me. So these days I tell people that global health is a movement to achieve health for all. To be global means to relate to the whole, covering everything or important points. So long as health affects all of us, then to be a global health researcher is to be nestled in a field where the issues with health are for all of us. We are all in this global health thing together.
