2025 was a rollercoaster of emotions. Constant thoughts of man-made chaos made everything seem nonsensical. However, halfway through the year, my hubby and I decided to end the year in a place where life always made sense. So, we packed our bags, which numbered twelve since there are six of us, and headed to his village, Nimo, in Anambra State, Nigeria.
One aspect of village life is that it encourages you to rest and reconnect with your passions. So, we meticulously planned our rest and made sure it was also our most stylish one. Surprisingly, it turned out to be our most preferred form of therapy for the year 2025, which was incredibly fulfilling.
There were no WiFi, minimal/unstable electricity, same to with running water, but cocks crowed in the morning and some evenings, palm trees rustled almost every second, and life finally knew peace with some serious African style that made our hearts swell with pride for what it means to see good at all times and in all places.
Here’s to our most fruitful and fashionable year yet, inspired by a place where life and the earth are perpetually fertile. Check out a short video of our stylish experience here.
