We embark on this new year with a commitment to personal growth. We’ve chosen to call it our growth year, partly because we’ve spent the past years building and building. Now, it’s time to grow. I’ve also learned that growth requires preparation for the complexities within ourselves and the inherent difficulties of anything that seeks to expand.
However, I’ve come to realize that this process is eternal. As Scott Peck, in his book “The Road Less Travelled,” part of our book of the month (another initiative we’re taking this year is dedicating a month to reading one book at a time), noted, the journey won’t be quick or straightforward.
It will be a long one, but every single experience that challenges us to grow also teaches us to live. Therefore, we welcome every pain, every problem, every complexity, every difficulty, and every long journey to guide us in our growth as we continue to take the road less traveled. Let’s embrace the process of growth!
