Keep these beginnings!

These days I remember the way we begin. I also remember the way we die. When you have seen a life, seen it dissolve to the earth, then memories are like the air we breathe. Angie was her name. I say it in memory of her spirit, her voice, her love, her life. We are coming of age since her death. Coming of age to celebrate her life in praise. Cervical cancer may have had the last word, but the future is full of light. Her image visible like a hurricane of souls. Now we say her name in pride for all death didn’t steal from us, for all her light still gave to us. Our journey may have begun with loss, may have caught us unaware, but we stand unafraid, ready to lead change.
