As if looks were everything, she walked in sure that what eyes see where enough. Only they weren’t and everything depends on where you look in places where air seems hopeless.
So she looked for spaces full of possibilities, she looked for where music flowed like branches in the wind. She looked for invisible places where broken applauses linger. She looked until her eyes sizzled with stars. How far will she go they wondered, a wall of silence growing still.
She will go far she nodded, as far as the soil under her feet. Better they, say for words to tremble than for eyes to see where darkness oppresses, where failure deprives.
