In Naija,
or like we call it,
home,
we think a lot about movement,
and bustling streets
and buildings tall and straight as trees,
and the grey skies we hang on to,
everyone happy to see another day,
at least there is wonder here,
and magic too,
for where else will you see blind men,
lead,
and others follow,
blind.

I overheard two men speaking yesterday about government not releasing any funds. One said he was informed he couldn’t complain since he is part of the government. The other agreed and noted if they complained what would the masses do. Chinua Achebe said it a long time ago, the trouble with Naija is…(You fill the blank). Me, I am off to open my eyes.
