At the messy magical start of your dreams, you will be long on ideas and short on time. Somethings will force you to change and change the dreams to save your soul. You will dwell in anything and nothing perfect and terrible. Of all the lives possible to you, the one you will choose is the life of a story, its power, perfect and constant as you chase dreams that go after what your will cannot reach. Still, you will find yourself floating along edges that keep your throat sore. Even if you say what you plan to do, even if you write it down and pay attention to the rustling sounds of limited time, your dreams will still struggle and continue to struggle at the magical messy moments of starting anything and nothing. Keep these beginning dreams that force you to struggle. 

We saw a birds nest over the weekend. It was nestled in front of our home and everything about it was hidden and messy, yet brimming with new possibilities, new growth, new life. It got me thinking about the dreams I have. Some are in the beginning phase and I am so ready to quit. Yet, I am learning that for your dreams you will go insane and still dream anyway. So I choose to dream. I expect insanity, expect pain, expect struggle, expect joy too. Today, I found myself surrounded by children at the magical messy moments of another summer camp. I was asked to introduce myself and I said I’m a mother of four passionate about getting this next generation to dwell in all that makes them excellent. We don’t have to do public health with experts or adults or anyone in between when children are like blank slates waiting for us to help them soar. I’m taking the plunge and yes this beginning is very messy. Still keep it.
