Some of us are stepping through the door full of curiosity for what this new phase of global health research will look like. Clearly it would feel like a helicopter landing in areas it shouldn’t be. We are waiting for answers, solutions, even rain to come and soothe the chaos about to unfold. When time comes, some of us know it will come not caring if one live or two lives were saved. Not when every life is still at risk. So we are waiting, hopeful, curious, knowing that fires are slowly burning at a house somewhere and we are in the house watching as the fire burns.
