Keep the freedom of dreams!

There is a certain kind of freedom that dwells in people who dream. It’s the kind that knows no limits, fears no limit and is forever prepared to soar past any limit. Today, I learnt to be grateful for this freedom. See where people curse the despair that swells to the brim, those who dream know to bless them for their future joys. We delight in despair. We praise the chaos when we can and remain silent when we can’t. All to live while alive, to continue to sow seeds of freedom, knowing that all things that happen, all these things are raw materials of all the ways we remain endlessly fertile, endlessly full of light, full of  love for all the undreamed dreams, undiscovered roads too, freedom brings.

With my freedom dreaming team!

We sat and watched dreams on display today. It was at the annual global health conference at the university and for once, we sat and watched in silence, the origins of freedom dreaming. See what people see as slides, see too as posters or presentations, we see as the glory of God. To be named Isioma, to be named as if knowledge would free me is the thing only dreams are made of. Today also marked an inflection point in my career as a global health researcher, one where I choose to remain unapologetically global health driven, in a way only dreams can dream. See where so many see confusion, see anxiety or even see despair, I see innovation, see more dreams. Issue 3 of Light Magazine arrived this same day where many plunged into darkness. Yet another reminder that he alone knows the plans, the dreams too and in this season, we will exceed even the brightness of the sun. Keep this!
