Eliminating health-related grants like, some in the middle of clinical trials like the Adolescent Medicine Trials Network is not only unethical, but one of the most destructive ideas in the history of human thought. A nation, free, confident and proud in all of stands for, doesn’t reject science on the basis of ideology, doesn’t eject it too from its adolescents who need this the most.
We are sinking under the relevance, responsibility and accuracy of what science is or is not. It’s not based on opinions that are not sound. The thing to fear isn’t scientific knowledge we don’t understand. When a society starts to define itself in opposition to science, the society plunges itself to darkness. We are getting out of control with so many baseless grant eliminations that I hope it doesn’t bring us destruction and pain one day. So for so many and myself, I stand with science.
