They say it heals. Writing. They say to use it to remember. Anything from the golden horns of cows to golden brown of meat pies, even the color of strawberry smoothies whether pink or red. What you write, will be read. So write to amaze, write to amplify, write to even acknowledge moments where your skies were blue or grey. What you write will heal. What you write will reveal. What you write will help you peel all the layers within in need of stars. These days I write to deal with all the ways I feel about a day. I write to express and experience a day. I write to cope and chronicle, to reflect and resist, to solve and save, to pray and persist. Yesterday will never come back. Tomorrow seems far. But today, what our eyes saw, like cows grazing on Grant farm, deers and their white dots grazing too, the children in need of care, the adults long overdue for care, all of them are the reasons I write so I never forget the moment my eyes locked eye for eye with a cow, a deer. A reindeer, a rain dear. Anything we write like tiny droplets from the sky, are like the opening of blooming peonies. So keep writing.
