Writing with Juliet Iwelunmor

We sat and watched the start of what can only be described as divine. While I am slowly discerning a lot about life these days, to see possibilities, dreams fulfilled, those in the Illuminating phase keeps me humble. When we decided to carry out our latest project as a mega designathon, I thought, perhaps I may have outdid myself. But seeing it all come together leaves me dreaming for today and the next thing. I shared that dream to the one who saw me before I ever saw myself academically at dinner today and the nod of approval was the game changer I didn’t know I was in need of. If all you see is what I have done today, then welcome to my past. What I am prepared to do needs time and a heavy dose of failure and perseverance and sheer love and patience and happiness. It’s my most precious one of them all. One that initially failed if you knew me 10 years ago. One I am eager to resurrect now that I have a clear sense of its journey towards tomorrow. When it’s time, it will amaze. Until then, please say hello to Lagos, the place that keeps my heart and soul, forever grateful for today, and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow.
