Keep being a dream.

I am forever inspired by Langston Hughes. His poem “Hold fast to dreams” is an affirmation of sorts for my life’s work. The idea too of bringing all your dreams, another poem, inspires me. I am moved by the idea where we could do the following from another poem: “I dream a world, where all will know sweet freedom’s way.” But the poem to young people this idea that we have tomorrow, bright as a flame, keeps me standing still in the light of the possibilities within. So if I could write an affirmation, or simply speak words true to myself, my star, all the things that push me to simply be these days and as inspired by Langston Hughes, I would begin with these words:

I am a dream. A dream. I am a dream. A dream. I am a dream. A dream. I am a dream. A dream. I am a dream. A dream. I am a dream. A dream.

I would keep saying these words for as long as I can recite the ABCs and back, partly, because, I am a dream. A dream. Being a dream, helped and saved me, helped me to see things possible, those beyond myself, things sparkling, things intoxicating, everything that is light. For when your mind has the freedom to roam, then you too will understand, more than anything, how you are a dream. From my heart to yours, keep being a dream.
