Keep, keep, your stories!

Some of us have been blessed or cursed to see beyond ourselves. Our only mercy is memory, but our regret is hell. Sometimes you don’t survive whole, sometimes you survive in parts. The key is the attempt and the surrender to memories that help you see beyond yourself. I am in a space where storytelling is my air, my reason for being, my hope for tomorrow, my will for today. I embarked on this journey three years ago never knowing where it would land but making an attempt to begin anyway as authentic as I can be as a mother with four children and life in academia. Every day has its ups and downs whether at home or work. But the realization that I get to keep something, my way, is the grandeur of my life. This attempt at keeping something, a story, a phrase, a dream, in verses, in musings, helps to heal and breathe new depths in my life. Tomorrow is uncertain, but for today, I am keeping this as a reminder to surrender always to life’s many journey.

My most fearless and bold attempt with life…
