Writing with Juliet Iwelunmor

Earlier this year I asked for help with a single IRB process. I run a bunch of clinical trials and when we wrote them as grants, we noted they would be a single IRB platform. I wrote to anyone that cared as to why such a process mattered. In the end, I received no help. I left to a new place. Let’s just say, the journey into IRB began today and I am leaving this here because this is what a competent and credible ethical system in an academic setting ought to look like. Some places should just shut down now as what they are doing isn’t research but a joke. When three incompetent fools make all the decisions including forcing you to pay for services that should ideally be in their institution, the common sense thing to do is run. I did and I will never look back. Best decision ever. Keep competent institutions even with ethics.
