Keep Beyoncé’s Renaissance for Dissemination and Implementation Science!

I am a researcher, an implementation scientist and Ms Carter is my teacher. Name anyone whose career for over 25 years has closed a know do gap with implementing and disseminating anything they created within a year without waiting for 15 years. Chances are Beyoncé would not come to mind. Ignore her though at your peril.

My hubby and I went to a what can only be described as an epic performance. Everything you could imagine was there. She has visuals that were just as stunning as her outfits. She sang, danced, smiled, thanked and did it all with grace. I could go on and on about Beyoncé’s Renaissance concert because it was truly all things sterling and amazing. But perhaps what I hope to keep as a fan and a student for life is the sheer audacity of dreams. She after all dreamed this all up, down to how she would implement and disseminate and from city after city, uptake is high, penetration is out the roof, and she will last beyond time.

That she belts tunes like you won’t break my soul alongside reminders that we are unique and well no one is ever going to take our power is as dazzling as can be. Mrs Carter is on a league of her own making, a type that lacks definitions as she makes all the rules as she goes. You can not put her into a frame or a box as she is the frame and the box then the shells and anything else that is needed to make frames and boxes. I left her concert being seen by a woman who had thousands of people vying for her attention. Still I felt like she saw me and boy, did I leave knowing that I will be alright. Nothing and no one will break my soul, take my power and I am definitely unique. I look forward to her lessons for dissemination and implementation science.
